This exhibition is about living in in-between states.

About moments when movement isn’t inspiring but demanded.

When the new place never becomes home, and the old one no longer welcomes you.

When the past is packed into a suitcase, and the future is written in invisible lines of fine print.

 

Here, objects carry the imprint of what has been lived.

Burning bills and stateless flags - not as slogans, but as echoes of circumstances survived.

In Polina Filatova’s paintings, we don’t just see images of loss, but the emotional states where everything must begin again from nothing.

 

What remains of the self when value is defined by external conditions?
